Some of the infectious diseases in Cyprus

For dogs:

Leishmania: transmitted by an infected mosquito or sand-fly

Ehrlichia: transmitted by an infected tick

Parvo: transmission occurs through contaminated person, object or environment

Distemper: transmitted through air, sharing of contaminated objects, direct contact with infected dogs and mother to offspring.

Giardia: transmitted by the ingestion of the parasite (by drinking or eating something that has been contaminated by feces.
